DealerOS

A vertically-integrated operating system for home-service businesses, live in production for an outdoor architectural-lighting dealer. It owns the whole customer lifecycle in a single system of record — lead ingestion, pipeline progression, estimates, scheduling and crew dispatch, invoicing, payment capture, and post-service follow-up — replacing a patchwork of GoHighLevel, Housecall Pro, and CompanyCam. Two AI surfaces sit on top: Sophia, an inbound voice receptionist on OpenAI Realtime that qualifies leads and warm-transfers live calls, and a Design Studio pipeline that renders a proposed lighting design from a photo of the house, gated by an identity check before anything reaches a homeowner. Multi-tenancy is built in from the schema up — every table is scoped by dealer, so a second trade is a configuration rather than a fork.

I joined an established codebase about four months in and worked through its busiest stretch, July to September 2026 — 332 of roughly 1,450 commits, a little under a quarter of the repository. The owner authored the majority; this was a two-developer codebase with heavy CI automation, not a solo build.
